Lip balms are always a welcome gift idea for both guys and girls, young and older. No one likes the uncomfortable feel and unsightly red, upper lip of dry, chapped lips.
This cute little assortment contains one each of six different types of tubal lip balms arranged in an adorable burlap bag, all ready for gift giving or added as a stocking stuffer. Each lip balm holds .15 oz. of product. To dress it up a bit, attached to the bag is a crocheted, white snowflake ornament.
Since this listing was created, additional lip balms have been added to the shop: Plantain Violet Healing Herbal Lip Balm, Dandelion Lip Balm and Cherry Lip Balm. If you would like to mix and match other than the six listed below, let me know your preference.
1. Cocoa Butter Lip Balm
Sunflower oil, cocoa butter and castor oil moisturize and protect sensitive lips from the cold, dry air of winter as well as the heat of summer. An emollient, cocoa butter acts a natural barrier to help prevent moisture from escaping while offering lubricating benefits. High in the natural antioxidant, vitamin E, it smooths and heals dry skin. With its own slight hint of chocolate, no additional flavorings are added.
2. Honey Lemon Lip Balm
Enriched with the healing benefits of the garden herb, calendula, this popular lip balm not only moisturizes but helps to heal those painful splits in the lip. Almond oil, very common in skin care, is an excellent emollient and moisturizer for beautiful, healthy lips. Just a hint of sweet and citrus is added in the form of honey and lemon.
3. Vanilla Bean Lip Balm
Real vanilla bean pods are infused with skin-nourishing sunflower oil resulting in a warm, delicious, but subtle flavoring. Cocoa butter protects from moisture loss along with rich avocado oil. Being a penetrating oil, they are a great moisturizing combination.
4. Lanolin Lip Balm
Cocoa and Shea Butters are rich butters known as the ultimate moisturizers. High in fatty acids, they are very healing for rough, dry skin in need of some extra attention.
Lanolin occurs naturally in wool grease, a waxy substance produced by the sebaceous glands in a sheep's skin. Wool wax is a natural substance, and just as it is designed by nature to soften wool fibers, it softens and protects skin against adverse weather conditions.
As an emollient, it both prevents moisture loss and rehydrates. Emollients work by increasing the ability of the skin to hold water, providing the skin with a layer of oil to prevent water loss, and lubricating the skin. A touch of the natural sweetener, stevia, is added for flavor.
5. Coconut Gloss Lip Balm
The ideal moisturizer for the mouth is one that is made from ingredients that not only soften the skin, but protects against damage as it promotes healing. Coconut oil and Cocoa butter, both antioxidants, contain properties that rehydrate, condition and shield by supplying water and a protective layer to hold it all in. A bit of Castor oil is added for a touch of gloss.
6. Cold Sore Lip Balm
Those unsightly little blisters around the mouth are caused by the same herpes virus that is responsible for the chicken pox. For those of you who are familiar with these painful sores, you are aware that the virus lies dormant in your system and seems to surfaces whenever you get run down and your resistance is low.
Cold Sore Lip Balm is very soothing when the blisters crack, harden and finally dry up. Rich in vitamins A, D, and E, calendula-infused sunflower oil and wheat germ oil, serve to soften, heal and retain moisture.
Essential oils of tea tree oil, peppermint and camphor act as powerful antiseptics, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory agents to help clear up those blisters.
This assortment for lip care is full of variety for both children and adults.
