Solid perfumes are a great idea the woman who likes the idea of her perfume being practical and portable without the worry of a leaky bottle in her purse or desk drawer. Packing for travel can become easier without the hassle of wrapping yet another bottle containing a liquid.
Also, these little 1/2 oz. compacts are long-lasting and discreet. By rubbing a bit at the places you wish, nothing gets wasted in the air around you.
The base for this perfume starts with infusing vanilla bean pods in jojoba and almond oils. Vanilla adds a warm, emotionally soothing touch that blends nicely with the essential oils frankincense, orange and cardamom.
Frankincense has so many uses it is no wonder it has been sacred through the ages. Often used for meditation because it is so useful for helping one remove all that is unwanted, to be able to just breathe and work through the resolution of any deep seated issues. Frankincense is described as slightly sweet with a bit woodsy, like a combination of pine and lemon.
Sweet orange, as are all the citrus scents, is a happy, uplifting aroma that adds a bit of sunshine on a cloudy day.
Cardamom is a spice from India and used in Ayurvedic medicine. It is described as warm, green and spicy, warming yet stimulating. In aromatherapy cardamom is used to help one regain direction and clarity, like a confidence boost.
****This perfume blend is subtle and not at all intense that you'll worry the scent will bother anyone.
Please keep in mind that natural scents tend to dissipate after only a few hours. The main job of any essential oil is to be absorbed into our system and help promote our well-being. Perfumes and fragrances you may be most familiar with are usually synthetic formulas and though they last much longer, they do not provide any health benefits.****
Apply anywhere you would normally apply a fragrance; behind your ear lobes, on your wrists, behind your knees.
Botanical perfumes dissipate within 1-3 hours of wearing them. Reapply as desired.
For those who cannot use Beeswax, let me know and I'll substitute Candelilla wax.
Candelilla wax is a wax derived from the leaves of the small Candelilla shrub native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States.
Sweet Orange, Cardamom and Frankincense are on the safe list after the first trimester of pregnancy but check with your physician about any questions of concern.
Solid perfumes come in a choice of a 1/2 oz. plastic jar (pot) or a 1/2 oz. plastic tube (over-sized lip balm tube).
When using the perfume from a pot, you rub your finger onto the surface of the perfume and then apply to chosen area.
When using the perfume from a tube, you screw the tube a bit to expose the perfume and then apply to chosen area.
